TECHNICAL RECRUITER - Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Become ingrained in the tech community and be a go-to-resource for helping tech candidates find their dream jobs to work with some of the most innovative companies across the country

  • Work with Business Development Managers to gather requirements and selling points for new open positions

  • Search for qualified candidates through LinkedIn, online talent communities and job boards

  • Screen candidates per job requirements and sell candidates on the value props of the innovative companies we recruit for

  • Clearly and concisely communicate to Account Managers why the candidates you’ve found are a good fit

  • Prep candidates for interviews, and work with them through the interview process

  • Negotiate job offers with candidates, including factors such as base salary, benefits, stock/equity and work-from-home

  • Maintain relationships with candidates

  • Staying current on technology trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a Business or IT field but no specific degree is required

  • Internship or work experience in recruiting, sales, IT or other applicable roles

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (this is on every job description, but this is VERY important to us)

  • Passion for technology

  • Ability to learn quickly

1872 Consulting is a rapidly growing Recruiting and Consulting company, originally focused in the tech space, with a demand from our clients to recruit on their finance & accounting positions. Given, this we’ll be spinning off a new 1872 brand to focus on Finance & Accounting recruiting. You will be recruiter #1 supporting this area of our business, and will have significant opportunity to advance your career as we grow this area of our practice – which we’re committed to investing in.

COMPANY SUCCESS SUMMARY

Our founders have worked for multiple recruitment companies in the past and have identified areas where most recruitment firms fall short, which we’ve capitalized on at 1872. We use unique automation tools on both the sales and recruiting sides of the house, with well-oiled best practices. We’re confident in saying none of our competitors our using the tools and workflows we use, which has allowed us to out-perform our competition in nationwide recruiting (with a good chunk of our business being in Chicago). Because of this, we’ve been able to grow rapidly and are now looking to expand our practice into areas outside of IT.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Work with Business Development Managers and Hiring Managers to gather requirements and selling points for new open positions 

·        Search for qualified candidates through LinkedIn, Job Boards and other candidate pools

·        Build candidate outreach automation pipelines with our unique tools on various platforms

·        Screen candidates per job requirements and sell candidates on the value props of the innovative companies we recruit for

·        Clearly and concisely communicate to Account Managers why the candidates you’ve found are a good fit

·        Prep candidates for interviews, and work with them through the interview process

·        Negotiate job offers with candidates

·        Maintain relationships with candidates

·        Help us eat the snacks

·        Play competitive ping-pong

QUALIFICATIONS

·        1-5 years of experience as a Finance and/or Accounting Recruiter

·        Keen understanding of the various Finance & Accounting skill sets, and the associated vernacular  

·        Experience recruiting for direct hire and/or contract positions Finance & Accounting positions

·        Demonstrated ability to consistently attract, qualify and submit candidates

·        Ability to effectively write candidate summaries as it relates to job requirements

·        Bachelor’s Degree is a big “nice-to-have”, but not necessarily required

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills (this is on every job description, but this is VERY important to us)

·        Sense of urgency 

·        Ability to learn quickly
